The Austin Atlantic saloon was one of the first post-war cars produced in its entirety by the Austin Motor Company.  It was launched in 1949 and production lasted until 1952, during which time just under 8000 were produced. You could choose from a four- seater, either a 2-door coupé or 2-door convertible.  The car had a top speed of just over 90 mph, did 0-60 in 16.6 seconds and its fuel consumption was nearly 22 mpg.  When new, it cost £824 on the road.

Our 2-door coupé  appears in an attractive bright blue with ivory masked roof, registered JSK 532 .The interior seating is also moulded in ivory, creating a smart appearance. Exterior trim is given a chrome finish. The wheels feature chrome hubcaps with a bright blue surround within the whitewall tyres and note the colourful Austin badge visible in a vertical position above the narrow radiator grille and again on the boot, while the Austin of England name is printed in silver behind the front wheel arches.
